If Daddy were here, he'd play ball with me.
My jumperoo isn't as much fun without my Daddy here to make the monkey sounds!
I just don't understand, where's he gone?
I can't get comfortable in my crib without Daddy.
The big bed feels empty without Daddy.
Grandma tried to make me happy last night before bed. She's not Daddy.
Mama took me to visit Grandma at work today to try to make me forget about missing Daddy. She even let me chew on her sunglasses. I still couldn't forget.
Grandpa gave me his keys to suck on but this didn't work.
Grandpa also tried to tickle me and make me laugh.
This didn't work either.
Mama offered me a beer. I don't like beer.
The only thing that will work??? Having my Daddy back. Come home soon, Daddy!!!

that was the cutest post yet, i'm pretty sure. i think i even have tears in my eyes. dori looks like his hair has lightened up!! i love the last pic with the beer has the "mom, you know i can't have this" face. poor james, he's probably so tempted to go home immediately. muah!
...although, it does look like dori has a little beer belly!!
Ha! I know, isn't it sweet? With him lying there in his Hawaiian shirt and little belly, I couldn't not put a beer in his hand! It was the perfect picture! His hair is getting lighter - up close, you can see little blond hairs coming in underneath his dark hair. It will be really interesting to see what color hair he ends up with. I have dark eyebrows like Dori's, even as a little baby, and had blond curls as a toddler. We'll see.
Don't worry, Dor! We're nearly half way through our trip. I'll soon be home to play the guitar for you, read you stories with silly voices and squirt you with your bath toys. I can't wait. xox
