Going to New Orleans

We're off to New Orleans very early tomorrow morning. We'll be back on Thursday, February 21. I'll be sure to post that day, if not before!

Thanks again to everyone for your comments, emails, phone calls and visits this week! It has really helped to have so much support during this rough time. Hopefully, I'll get some sleep in the Big Easy!

Don't forget about Mr. D. Here are some pics from the past couple days...

With my godfather, a retired pediatrician
With half of my mom's group
And of course, yet another picture in the infamous jumperoo!
I'm going to try to get some sleep. I put Dorian down 45 minutes ago and he has already woken up once tonight!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe Louisiana will change him. See you all soon.

The US Grandparents will be in New Orleans too (we are going because Grandma manages a Stroke Unit and the International Stroke Conference begins on Tuesday and on Thursday we win an award for our patient outcomes). Now that the little guy eats some solid food, goes two hours between feedings and loves being outside in the light, Grandpa and Grandma will be taking him in his stroller for walks down the Mississippi, to the Cafe du Monde for beignets and chicory coffee and to Jackson Square while Crockmama and Crockdaddy have some sleep and private time. Hopefully the blog reports will change in tone when Dorian's very tired mommy gets some naptime. I am the only one of this group who has actually been to New Orleans (pre Katrina) and I promised the rest of the family that they will be charmed and delighted by this wonderful place. We are staying right on the River at a splendid hotel within a couple of blocks of the French Quarter. Stay tuned for a change in the little guy when he hits the big four month milestone tomorrow (fingers crossed since we are all sharing a room).

Here's hoping the trip goes well and Mom and Dad get some rest. :-)
